What does an AI consultant actually do?

Three things, in my case. I train teams to build with AI themselves, I build the tool when off-the-shelf software does not fit, and I sit with leadership to work out where AI belongs in the operation and what to ignore. Often it is one of the three, sometimes a mix.

Do you work with teams in New York City?

Yes. I am based in New York and do in-person work in the city, and remote work elsewhere. In-person tends to be worth it for training sessions and worth less for builds.

My team does not write code. Is this still for us?

That's the group I most want to work with. The enablement work is built for people who have never written code and it ends with each of them having shipped something that runs.

How long does an engagement take?

Training runs from a half day to about four weeks depending on how many people and how deep you want to go. A custom build is usually two to six weeks. Advisory can be a single session or an ongoing arrangement.

What does it cost?

It depends on the shape of the work and the size of the group, so I quote it after we talk rather than off a rate card. Tell me what you are trying to do and I will give you a number.
